Privacy & Security Policy

Last updated: 4 August 2026

This Privacy & Security Policy explains how BenanApp Software (“we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information in connection with the mobile applications we publish on Google Play (collectively, the “Apps”). By downloading or using any of our Apps, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Information We Collect

Our Apps work without an account. We do not ask for, collect, or store your name, address, e-mail address, phone number, or payment details. Certain non-identifying technical information (device type, operating system version, approximate region, app version, and anonymous diagnostic data) may be processed automatically by the third-party services we integrate, in order to keep the Apps stable, to improve them, and to display advertising.

2. Device Permissions

Our Apps request permissions only for the features they offer, and only for the purposes described here. A permission is requested at the point the related feature is used, and no permission is used in the background without your knowledge. Not every App requests every permission listed below — most request only a few of them. As we add features, an App may begin to request an additional permission; in that case it will be used solely to provide the feature you chose to use, it will be explained to you when it is requested, and this policy will be updated accordingly.

  • Microphone (record audio) — used only while you are actively recording inside an App, and only after you grant permission. Your recordings are stored on your own device: they are never uploaded to us or to any server, and they are excluded from cloud backups. You can delete or share them yourself at any time.
  • Audio settings — used to manage playback volume and audio output while an App is running.
  • Vibration — used for haptic feedback when you touch the instrument, in the Apps that offer it.
  • Internet and network state — used to display advertising and to check connectivity. Our Apps do not send your personal data over the network.
  • Files and media — used to read audio files that you choose yourself and to save files you create. Where possible our Apps avoid asking for this permission: they keep their own files in private app storage and use the system file picker, which grants access only to the file you pick.

You can review or revoke these permissions at any time in your device settings. Revoking a permission only disables the feature that needs it; the rest of the App keeps working.

3. Payments

Our Apps do not contain any in-app purchases or subscriptions. We do not request, process, or store credit card details or any other payment information.

4. Advertising

To keep our Apps free, we display advertising provided by Google AdMob. To deliver and measure ads, AdMob may process technical data such as device type, the device’s advertising settings, and approximate location. This data is handled by Google under its own policies; we do not sell it and do not share it with unrelated companies.

Because the audience of our Apps includes children (see section 5):

  • advertising is requested in non-personalised mode;
  • the advertising ID is not used for targeting, and the permission that would let our Apps read it has been removed from the Apps;
  • only ads rated for a general audience are requested.

Where the law requires it (for example in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom), our Apps ask for your advertising consent on start-up through Google’s User Messaging Platform. You can change your choice at any time from Privacy Options in the App’s side menu, in the Apps where that entry is shown.

5. Children’s Privacy

Our Apps are musical instruments and educational toys, and their audience includes children under 13. They are published in line with the Google Play Families policy. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children: our Apps have no account, no registration, no messaging and no social features. Advertising is served in non-personalised mode as described in section 4. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to remove it.

6. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information handled by our Apps. However, no method of transmission or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes to our Apps or to legal requirements. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
